The Beautiful Sakura games are a series of visual novels - exclusive to XBox, surprisingly enough - from developer Crapware, excuse me, Cropware, with fairly obviously A.I. generated hot anime girls. Each game has a different theme - surfing club, volleyball club, running club, fitness club, and the newest one is fashion club - all starring a growing cast of the same anime waifus in each game and a faceless generic protagonist they all love for some reason. They games seem to be sequels and continuations of each other, but the story is totally inconsequential. And, despite the titles, they have basically nothing to do with volleyball or running or whatever and instead the girls are in bikinis and / or underwear as quickly as possible.
What the games really are is just a delivery method for 1000 ridiculously easy Xbox gamerscore and a few dozen hot anime girl pictures. The games cost $12 each, and have never really had a notable discount thus far, which make them stupidly expensive for what they are. And, yes, I bought a couple of them with my own money just to make this video. You're welcome.
The games are 30-minutes long if you bother to actually read through everything - but it's horribly written nonsensical garbage so why bother. You don't make any choices or have any impact on the story. It's truly bottom of the barrel even for visual novels. Or you can hold the fast forward button down and get 1000 gamerscore in 3 minutes. Sweet sweet gamerscore. For $12. Ugh.
I will say that the girls do look pretty good. They definitely have weird A.I. faces that are sort of off putting at first, but they have absolutely fantastic bodies and some of the outfits they end up in are spectacular. It's on Xbox instead of the allegedly family friendly - pardon me while I laugh - Nintendo Switch, so no nudity, but some of the shots are still pretty incredible looking.
That's always the question with these sexy girl image games, though - no matter how good the pictures might be, is it worth the money when the Internet and its endless ocean of smut is readily available? The answer in this case is pretty easily and obviously "no". It doesn't have any gameplay to speak of and the story is putrid, so there's really no point to it at all no matter how desperate you may be to play something lewd on your Xbox.
So, to answer the question of "Are the Beautiful Sakura games worth a look?" - they are terrible visual novels with OK art that are overpriced for what they are and not worth your time or money. Even for a ridiculously quick 1000 gamerscore they aren't worth it. You'll only bring shame to your entire family as well as your Xbox account. Skip them. Please, please skip them. Maybe they'll go away.
