Gori: Cuddly Carnage Is An Awesome Throwback to Better Gaming Days

Gori: Cuddly Carnage is a game about a cute cat riding a hoverboard that has to slice his way through twisted mutated unicorns and other gruesome demons. There's tons of blood and gore and a, frankly, incredible amount of swearing. It feels like a game made in 2005 for the OG Xbox or PS2. And that's why it is so freaking GREAT!

This is what games used to be like, kids. And it was awesome. But being too edgy became sort of passe, so developers moved on to newer and bette ... not, not better, different-er things. That's why a game like Gori: Cuddly Carnage, or the remasters of Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned are so appealing in 2024. We haven't seen them in so long that they feel fresh and fun again.

Gori is also noteworthy for being a pretty fantastic value. It costs $22 and that is an absolutely perfect price for a game like this with a roughly 10-hour runtime. It sticks around for just long enough but doesn't overstay its welcome.

And it stars a cute customizable cat. That was enough to sell me the first time I saw it, to be honest, but the rest of the game really sealed the deal. Gori: Cuddly Carnage is fantastic and well worth checking out. Watch our video below for more details!
